I am a collaboration junkie. Most recently, I have collected pieces from the Margiela x HM, Lanvin x HM, Versace x HM and the Neiman Marcus x Target collections.
The Margiela x HM collection is my favorite. I prefer to apply my budget towards quality basics and the Margiela collection was just that- a recap of all of their classics. With this collaboration, they did not create new styles for a lower price-point customer, as is typically the case with high-street collaborations. Instead (and brilliantly) they decided to reissue past classics- leathers, cashmeres- maintaining the dignity of the MMM brand. That is why I walked away with four pieces of the collection, instead of just one token item.
