oh joy! for target, amber venz, venzedits

The start of spring means that party season is upon us. As a working woman, I do not have a ton of time to scour party stores or the internet for picture-perfect party gear so I am thrilled about the new Target collaboration with fellow blogger, Oh Joy!. Joy really thought of every accessory and implement that you need to throw a Pinterest-worthy party. The entire collection coordinates so there is not a lot of thinking required.  Here are my favorite pieces:

Earlier this year, I was asked to curate and style spring and summer 2014 campaigns for H&M in partnership with ELLE magazine. After a few months of work, the campaign has finally launched! Today, you can go into any of the 300 H&M stores across the nation and see my curated selection of spring must-haves. There are hang tags on the clothes, posters and trend cards with styling tips that you receive at checkout.

Yesterday, I flew to New York to shoot a segment for EXTRA at the H&M Times Square location. Watch tonight at 7PM EST, 5:30 CST to see my talk through spring trends and share some advise on how to style the looks (click here for local listings).

Here are some behind the scenes shots from yesterday’s shoot:

While in Paris for fashion week, I was interviewed by Julia Knolle for Vogue Germany. We got to shoot the story in and around the Tuileries Garden (a public garden located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris- near the shows and across from the hotels where all of the editors stay) with their photographer, Schnati, a German living in Paris who has a long history in blogging herself (her sister is Jessie from Journelles!)

I was able to wear my favorite Mary Katrantzou currency collection dress for the shoot. Look closely at the print on my dress; there are so many subtle yet recognizable icons and patterns. The metallic threads across my chest are reminiscent of European currency.

The entire skirt and bib of the dress is made of a web of crystals. The weight of that material makes the dress move like water as you walk. The weight of a dress says so much about the quality.

The Mary Katrantzou currency collection is past season but I found a few pieces of it that are still available (and on SALE)!
